A diversity of soils for an exceptional terroir

Located at the foothills of the Cevennes near Anduze on a rocky spur (Puech Long), the Domaine Terres d’Hachène wine estate is set in an exceptional environment and terroir including :
– ancient marl clay limestone hillsides (130 million year old),
– deeper clay gravel soil,
– very stony limestone conglomerates.
This soil diversity to which different vine varieties have adapted is very much an asset for the quality of the wine produced. Mediterranean varieties Syrah (Shiraz) , Grenache and Mourvèdre blend with Gironde varieties including Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

A passionate vitivinicultural adventure

The new owners, Lionel and Nathalie, fell for the charm of this magical place and intend to continue this passionate vitivincultural adventure while they are fully engaged in different vine growing and vinification endeavours.
This return to the Cevennes sources combined with their sense of sharing and fellowship brings a wonderful dynamic which makes me keen to accompany them as best as I can in their new professional life!
